Online Consultations

Do you have a training problem with your horse? Are you looking for assistance to help you develop your eye as a rider and horse handler? Looking for training critique on how to improve your equitation and efficacy under saddle?

Shelby is now offering online consults to help equestrians with a multitude of problems under saddle or on the ground with their horses.

All prices are in Canadian dollars. Americans save approximately 20% due to the American dollar being higher.

Consultations can include advice on anything from management to behavioural problems on the ground or under saddle. The purpose of consults to help people better their knowledge as a trainer as well as develop a better understanding of equine learning theory and ethology.

Consults will include Shelby’s personal expertise and insight on the situation as well as other resources that can be accessed for further reading and education.

We have a variety of consultation options to fit different budgets and needs.

Over the Phone / Zoom consults

These are behavioural consults to help assist clients with determining the underlying cause of issues their horse is experiencing, beginning to troubleshoot issues and/or setting up training programs to help you and your horse achieve the utmost success.

Starting at $95 CAD for 1 hour consult or $60 CAD for 30min consult. Discounts for bulk packages.

On top of her many years of practical experience training horses and working with a number of other equine professionals, Shelby has also furthered her education on horses by way of equine science studies, with specialty in equine behavioural study, working towards her Equine Science Certificate through Guelph University. Having completed Equine Behaviour studies, Shelby moved on to Advanced Equine Behaviour and finished in the 90th percentile.

She has also successfully finished Equine Health and Disease Prevention, Equine Exercise Physiology, Equine Marketing and Communications and Equine Nutrition. She intends to continue her studies past receiving her Equine Science Certificate.

In January 2021, Shelby received her certification as an Equine Behaviour Consultant from IAABC.
