“Horseplay”

“Horseplay” is a colourful depiction of the chaos and excitement that is Banksy’s relationship with his dear friend, Pogo. This is the first of Banksy’s works.

He used his signature “aggressive brush throwing” technique to create unique patterns and even thought to add texture with stall shavings and some of the hair off of his muzzle. The colourful yellow splotches at the bottom are said to represent the bright and sunny dispositions of his best friends, Pogo and Milo.

Though, Milo having what would be classed as a sunny disposition is up for interpretation, much like this abstract painting.

With his varied styles of brush strokes and unique textural additions, he created a memorably chaotic homage to his life as a horse in a herd of geldings.

Made with acrylic paint on Canvas.

Proceeds for this painting will go towards expenses associated with Shelby’s work with the Alliance for Horse Welfare.

“Spring Fever” is the second of Banksy’s original works. It is a playfully abstract depiction of the excitement of impending spring weather and the promise of winter releasing its icy and rainy clutches from the Pacific Northwest of Canada.

Spring Fever” is the second of Banksy’s original works. It is a playfully abstract depiction of the excitement of impending spring weather and the promise of winter releasing its icy and rainy clutches from the Pacific Northwest of Canada. There is an abstract outline of a horse and this is thought to be Banksy's depiction of himself and his colourful personality leading up to spring, with the promise of spring grass on the way.

Confident and smooth brush strokes in a variety of bright colours have been splattered on the canvas utilizing Banksy’s signature aggressive paint brushing style. A sprinkle of texture has been added courtesy of stall shavings

A new technique demonstrated here by Horse Banksy. is the splatter of pink paint, creating an almost graffiti appearance thought to possibly pay homage to Banksy’s namesake, Human Banksy.
