He was imported to North America from Ireland in 2012, prior to leaving Ireland he showed extensively in eventing up to the 3* level. Since being imported, Monty has shown in all 3 rings at venues such as Thunderbird, Spruce and Rocky Mountain and amassed an impressive show record. He competed up to the 1.15m level since coming into North America but is now looking to slow it down a bit and is best suited for a rider looking to jump 1m and below. Most recently, he was Reserve Champion in the 0.75m division at Thunderbird West Coast Classic, his first show with his new owner. He has no stop, is honest and easy to handle. Ties, clips, trailers and is well mannered on the ground. He is a fantastic horse for up and coming riders to learn the ropes on and get noticed at shows. Safe for juniors and amateurs and good for riders who lack confidence. Monty is well suited for a rider looking to get into the eq, jumper and/or hunter rings. He truly is the jack of all trades, he is well schooled on the flat and would be suitable for dressage as well. Monty is available for paid off property lease or possible sale (would have to be the right situation) due to his owner looking to get out of showing. He recently under went a vet check and that information can be made available to seriously interested parties.
