Stunning 17hh 5 year old Thoroughbred gelding with massive sport horse potential. “Sir Knight” aka Bravo had a short lived racing career and retired sound after not having the speed to make it on the track. His owner gave him lots of let down time to properly grow and develop into the huge horse he is today and he has been started into a ground work program this spring with about a handful of rides since the racetrack.

A big mover with three lovely gaits and good natural balance, Bravo has the looks and movement to do well in the Hunter ring but would also be suitable to go into the show jumping or eventing disciplines as well. He is sensitive but brave and extremely willing, quick learner with huge try. He is forward under saddle without being fast and has a good natural rhythm despite his lack of experience.

Bravo has been introduced lightly to jumping via free jumping and has jumped a few jumps with a rider. He needs a more solid flat foundation before continuing to develop as a jumper but is very brave and willing.

Bravo has no stall vices, gets along in a herd and is exceedingly happy to live outside 24/7. He is pretty easy to handle and the same horse after days off when he has adequate turnout. Since he is just a baby and is a herd animal who values having friends, we do not recommend him to anyone who would be intending to keep him stalled for lengthy periods of time or isolated from interaction with other horses.

Bravo’s only con is that he has very thin soles so needs to be in shoes and pads as he rehabs his feet and develops more depth of sole. Owner has Xrays and vet work up that can be released to seriously interested parties who want to see the recommended course of action for his hooves.

Given his age, greenness and size, he does need an experienced rider but would be suited to a junior or amateur who has worked with green horses before and has access to instruction from a competent trainer.
