Beckham is a stunning 9 year old 16.2hh Thoroughbred gelding. He raced under the name Miner’s Thunder but showed under the name Beckingham. He has been off the track for several years now and even competed up to the Novice level in eventing with success. While he is well schooled and has experience eventing, Beckham is looking for a home where he can focus mostly on flat work/trails or lower level jumping. He requires maintenance in the form of hock injections in his left hock to treat arthritis, because of this, he is not suited to a home looking to do hard riding and move up the levels of competition. Beckham is more of a “whoa” ride than go ride and is said to be brave to fences and quiet on the other side of them, but thus far he has been in a flat only program to regain fitness after some time off. He is good off property and can be a bit more forward but was manageable to be shown by an amateur. He is friendly, sweet and loves to come out and hang with people. Beckham is the perfect horse for a rider who doesn’t have upper level or extremely competitive ambitions and wants a well schooled horse on a budget. He has no vices, is easy to catch and gets along with other horses.
